Easy Living Home Automation was born out of a personal experience.  As a young man, watching my grandfather’s declining health. I often thought about ways to make my grandfather’s life more comfortable by making sure he had access to the latest technologies of the time to assist with his mobility.

Now that my parents are dealing with declining health, my mission is to enable my parents to stay in the family home they have lived in since 1979. The constantly evolving technology of a Smart Home facilitates my parent’s ability to live a comfortable and safe lifestyle without added stress.

Over the 14 years that I have been an A grade electrician in my own business and while working on many houses, I have noticed that people’s lifestyles have become more hectic leaving them time poor for leisure activities.

Some years ago, while doing the wiring on a new build, I noted the builder had hired a Home Automation company to do the design, but an electrician had to be bought in to complete the wiring. I identified this was a disjointed process and recognised the need for a more seamless process.

I started Easy Living Home Automation to take the difficulty out of making your home a Smart Home with a seamless, one point of contact, that takes responsibility for all design, installation and co-ordination of your Smart Home project from start to completion.

I believe that you deserve access to the convenience and efficiency of home automation regardless of your situation.

Easy Living Home Automation is based in Macleod, VIC and services all of metro Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Prior to joining Easy Living Home Automation, I worked for an electricity and gas energy retailer for 12 years performing many roles from Call Centre Consultant, Team Manager and finally a Workplace Trainer.

It was during my time as a call centre consultant that my enthusiasm for advising customers how to better manage their energy usage grew. From talking to multiple customers daily I recognised how important energy management and efficiency of appliances is to customers in order for them to save money on their utility bills.

With the resources available to me I developed skills to expertly assist customers to better manage their energy usage from advice on running costs to helping them to conduct their own home energy audit.

As a result I moved into a training role in order to share my passion and train other consultants in energy management and how to better assist their customers.

Working at Easy Living Home Automation has increased my passion for enabling our customers to run their households in the most energy efficient way possible with the extra benefits of shaving usage off their electricity bill and simplifying their lifestyle.

Our Process

  Easy Living believes that Home Automation should assist you to have an easy, uncomplicated lifestyle no matter what your needs are. Our Home Automation installation process is also uncomplicated, facilitating a seamless process from start to completion


We begin the process with a detailed consultation with you. We review your requirements in home automation, look at your current set up, and discuss your desired outcome. This is beneficial to you and us as it provides a thorough understanding of your needs and also enables us opportunity to give you suggestions and recommendations.


New Build – Once we have engaged with you and have obtained your house plans, we will design a customised smart home automation proposal to match your requirements agreed to in step 1.  We then provide you with our initial designs along estimated cost for your approval. Retrofit – We visit your property and determine the type of dwelling and discuss options and make suggestions to achieve your expected outcomes. The benefit to you is that we can advise you of the price immediately and work out a date and time to complete the work. In most cases a home automation retrofit package can be installed within a few days.


Once our proposal is accepted by you, we will then organise a contract which contains the following:

  • A room by room functionality specification that is signed off by both parties and detailing every feature and what is excluded
  • Warranties
  • Details of payment
  • Details of deposit

Implement Seamless Process

We will liaise with you for a time and date that is best suited to your needs to commence your home automation project. We will liaise with all other trades persons for you to ensure all parties have a thorough understanding of your home automation requirements. We will ensure your project is implemented on time with a seamless process. We understand that most people are time poor, so Easy Living Home Automation will work around times that are agreeable to your lifestyle – after all that is what home automation is about – simplifying your lifestyle.

Handover and After Care Service

We want to make sure you get the best out of your new system and on handover we — When the time has come for us to handover your tailored smart home automation package. Easy Living Home Automation will provide you with:

  • System training from a diploma certified trainer and assessor ensuring you are trained in a way that is conducive to your learning.
  • Easy Living Home Automation product pack containing product information, warranties, Certificate of Electrical Safety (if applicable) and contact details.
  • Free after care visit (Valued at $270.00*) – approximately 1 month after handover we will return to make any adjustments you may require after you have been using your home automation system.
